St. Andrew’s Institute is a co-educational School managed by the Diocesan Society of Education, Panjim. This Society is a religious based minority Institution registered under Societies Registration, order on August 29, 1962 in the Sub Registrar, Panjim under Registration No. 107 and under the Societies Registration Act 1860 under Registration No.466.
St. Andrew’s Institute Vasco-da-Gama, was originally a branch of the Catholic Education Institution founded by Mr. Roque Santano Almeida and managed by late Mr. Manuel Messias till January 1953. On the latter’s death and in compliance with many requests, the Institution came under the management of St. Andrew’s Parish representative of the Diocesan Society of Education and since then, has been thoroughly reorganised and named St. Andrew’s Institute.
It is recognised by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim and the Directorate of Education, Panjim Goa in the year 1969. It prepares students for the examination of Std. Xth (S.S.C.) of the above mentioned Board.
